Klaus Neufeld established Neufeld Building Movers in 1951 near Hague, Saskatchewan along with his sons Peter, Abe, John, Corney, and David. In 1969, Peter took over the house-moving business and operated it with hired help. The early 70s saw the emergence of ready-to- move homes (RTMs) in the area. This provided the majority of business and still does several years later.

Peter's son Kerry took over the business and, along with the addition of Ben Fehr in 1998, the pair have expanded the business to include a full office staff and four fully- equipped crews the company now houses 24 employees. The equipment inventory still consists of beams, dollies and hydraulic jacks but has also expanded to included Unified Jacking systems, remote dollies and steering dollies for specialty jobs. RTM homes remain a large portion of our business, along with older existing homes, barns, shop moves we have expanded into the industrial sector with our newly amped up safety program.

We also have an extensive R&D department that is always looking to improve existing equipment and build bigger and better for the next project coming around the corner. As we say here "We've never turned down a project because of size!"

Neufeld Building Movers is a member and continues to play and active role of the Saskatchewan Building Movers' Association (SBMA), the Alberta Building Movers' Association (ABMA), the Western Canada Association of Structural Movers (WCASM), and the International Association of Structural Movers (IASM).

Honest hard work and pride in what we do has been passed down through the generations and remains our attitude to this day.
